Happy Bastille Day

It's the 14th July and as I write this there are fireworks going off outside my windows and people all over France are celebrating the end of the French monarchy and the rise of the sans-culottes. This year I'm not out celebrating on the beach as usual as it's been a busy week and it's a school night tonight. However that hasn't stopped me from watching the pyrotechnical display from my balcony and raising a cold beer to Bastille Day- cheers!
