So the weekend just gone looked a little something like this.....
On Friday night, I made some Niçois farcis or stuffed vegetables for dinner and we ate them while watching a Will Ferrell film. "When in Rome......"
On Saturday morning I got my hair done by the wonderful Yann at my favourite salon. Those curls held up to being shoved in and out of a scooter helmet and a hot shower and lasted well until Sunday evening's run. Yann for the win!
(Not pictured, the lovely birthday party we went to which started with champagne and ended with both cake and more champagne. My very favourite kind of evening.)
On Sunday I fled the apartment, stopping only to grab a book and an old bedspread, and I hightailed it to the local park while Didier settled in to watch the Spanish Grand Prix at home.
This was the view from under my tree in the park. I doubt there was as much sunlight to be found watching the Grand Prix, therefore I definitely made the right decision.
On Sunday evening we went for a run along the Promenade des Anglais, which you can see illuminated above in this fuzzy Instagram shot. It was hot and busy out there and I wasn't really feeling the burn, but it was nice to be outside by the beach so it's all good.
And then we came home and I picked my first ever homegrown raspberries from the plant we bought last year. They were delicious and I am now trying to work out how I can fill the balcony with raspberry bushes and eat them all year round.
So that was my weekend, how was yours?
